How do I fix Adobe "Internal error has occurred?

I am recieving an error when trying to launch Adobe or open a .pdf file. The error says in its own little window "An Internal error has occurred". I have tried uninstall and reinstall with no luck. The current version i have installed is Version 9. This message also presented itself on Version 8 also. I am trying to launch this from a Laptop running XP SP2 in a company domain enviroment. However i can get it to work if I take the laptop out of the domain and put in a local Workgroup. The user is also local admin to the Laptop. Any thoughts?

Open Adobe, click Edit, Preferences, Internet
Check or uncheck Display PDF in browser and try it again

It also sounds like you may have a software restriction policy on your domain.  This would explain why you can run it when you aren't a part of the domain.  If there is such a policy, you would have to allow that application to execute.
