I hope someone can help with a small problem in Outlook 2003 over the last few months.

When I receive emails they are in normally in HTML, but when I reply, the editor always shows them in plain text, I can go to the toolbar and change them back to HTML, but any formatting is already lost.

I have checked the settings, and I do not have checked Read all standard mail in plain text

Any suggestions?

Thanks

You shuld check the following settings in Outlook:
Tools - Options - "Mail Format" - "Internet Format...". Check that "Convert to HTML format" is selected.

Hi,
By default Outlook replies in the format the mail is received. That is if it is HTML it will be HTML and if TXT it will be replied in TXT.
Just make sure that there is no Macro/Code  running that is causing this behaviour.

Thanks for the replies, its strange I realized what the problem was myself after posting the question, after a few months of seeing it

You are right Nitin, I just did not realized how many plain text messages I was getting.
