IMAP running slow in Outlook 2007

I have several users running Outlook 2007 on IMAP accounts and there are really bad delays in moving between messages and when Outlook is opened, Is there some sort of caching going on thats slowing it down ?

It is because of synchronizing of big mail folders.........
