Hi,

I am assuming that you need the community edition (not enterprise) and are running Window 32 bit: download here (http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/5.0.html#win32)

Thanks,

Matt

it download it is giving error
Error Code: 1045
MySQL server uses client's login ('root' in your case) and the name of the client computer which it tries to set the connection from for the client authentication. In your case the reason is that your 'root' user from your client computer doesn't have permissions to access this MySQL server.

To solve this problem you should grant the necessary permissions to user root@<client_computer_name>.
You can do this with the help of User Manager tool of SQL Manager.

@raboy007,

Issue this command at the prompt:

GRANT SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, LOCK TABLES ON dbName.* TO root@localhost IDENTIFIED by 'password';

*Note:
1. change dbName to your Database Name
2. change password to your password.

I was wondering if the raboy007 had mistaken MySQL for MS SQL, because of the DTS business.

Might be worth clarifying... Is it really MySQL - or is it Microsoft SQL (Express is the Free version) that is being requested ?
