I'm new in EE and in PHP, However I would like to ask.
I want to build website with pulldown dynamic menus sample example http://www.infragistics.com/
and as well would like to have treeview reflecting the menu structure. Structure has to come from MySQL database Table. I'm pretty sure there is something available but I can't find.

I would like to do following
- to have graphic menu on the top of website that has pulls down when you roll ever it and it might have multiple submenus, they all are coming from database.
- Treeview that reflects structure in sitemap section of the website
- as administrator of the website I would like to be able to change menu structure by adding or removing sections.

there is a lot of stuff like that for .NET for example telerik.com, but nothing for PHP, and I want it much simpler (telerik is too much especially rad editor)

It would be much better if I could build my self the menu and treeview which is editable at the backend and driven by MySQL.

I'm not sure If I need to use Javascript or Ajax.
Is there a way to build properly in PHP with MySQL?

Thank you.

Hey there!

It is all possible with Joomla (http://www.joomla.org/).

It is used on many web sites, but you need to invest some time to get to know with the idead behind the content and menus relation...

Hope it is what you are looking for...

Thank you for you answer, however

I think Joomla is Content Management System, that is controlling the website, what I want is to build my own website 100% without depending on CMS. For example
Menu like teleriks
http://www.telerik.com/products/aspnet-ajax/controls/menu/overview.aspx
Treewiev like teleriks
http://www.telerik.com/products/aspnet-ajax/controls/treeview/overview.aspx
Except its way too complicated for enduser. I want to build as simple as possible or get one of the net that will be independent from joomla (unless I can extract only this modules from joomla, without installing it to the finalized website) Or find one which does both things and uses MySQL. Or the book that explains the best way.
Thank you
