Microsoft, VB.Net, Tooltips not displaying

Working in Visual Studios 2005, localization/globalization (language translation) is a bit easier if you set up as much as you can on the form itself rather than in the code.

So in order to make life easier, I'm trying to get the tooltips that I've set in code setup under the properties for the various objects on the form (by setting the "Tooltip on TooltipX" property to the desired text). However, when I do this none of the tooltips actually display: Any ideas?

Check your tooltip objects properties. By default, the show delay and autopop delay are not helpful Set your values to something like:

Thanks for the feedback ladarling but that didn't seem to change anything at all: I ended up grabbing an old backup of the form and inserting it into the program.

While that seemed to work I hate problems that have no clear reason (and a rather arbitrary solution) as they tend to crop up over and over.

So if anyone else has any ideas, please feel free to share.
