I"m trying to load a **********.bin file to my cisco router that crashed. When i got to enable the transfer and setup xmodem -cyrx *******.bin file I get a prompt as its starting to start stating that transfer canceled by remote host.  and then on hyperterm is states that timeout waiting for header aborting download. I"m not sure whats going one that is unable to receive the ios image. Can you please help me .

Is the hyperterm xmodem server waiting before you run the command on the Cisco?

no, i run the xmodem on the router before i run the transmission on hyperter

I started to do xmodem -cyrx "image" ...... enter to "y".........and then did ymodem transfer of the image by hyperterm and it started to transmite. What do you think .

hmmm.... interesting... I assume you know how to use xmodem with Cisco, but here's a document to make sure you aren't missing something by accident... just skim it over to make sure, k?
