Hardware Serial Number in the Bios

Dears,
I have 2 HP laptops nc6120 that, after motherboard change and bios reset, lost their serial number saved before in the system information Bios (now they have a "strange numerical" serial number).
I'd like to find a tool to reset the serial number and take it back as it was before.
Thank you.

If the motherboard was changed, you no longer have the same hardware, and hence your serial number shouldn't be the same.  Why do you think it should be the same as before?

Dear,
I try to explain better my question. The two laptop now have the same serial number in the Bios (as Laptop Serial Number).
As I need to use a server that recognize them with the serial number (usually unique), I have to replace the actual (duplicated) server with the original one to make this server working correctly with them.
I hope to let you understand better.
Thank you.

Since the BIOS is not normally editable, you will have to flash them with a BIOS file that you edit to reflect the correct serial numbers.  This is not for those who are unsure of how to flash their BIOS, because a mistake will render the machine inoperable.  See http://www.experts-exchange.com/Security/Misc/Q_21714543.html
