Hi,  a few days ago out SSL Certificate Expired meaning no one could use Outlook via RPC etc.

I bought a new certificate (RapidSSL) and installed it on the exchange server which resolved the issue.

However since then the XDO Orbit 2 we have can not Sync.  It keeps saying Sync Error but I cant find where the error log is on the XDA, nor can I find any errors on the exchange server

I have rebooted Exchange, and also checked all services are running.  The iPhone that connects in works fine.

Also I wiped the XDA and reconfigured but got the same issue.  I am stumped!!! :(

Hi, I don't use the XDA, so I can be wrong, but I'd suggest to back it up, and reset it to factory defaults. Then install the new SSL certificate into it and try again. If the RPC and iPhone works, its definitely issue with the XDA. Also check the old certificate and compare its bit strenght with the new one. Could be, that XDA can't handle the bit strenght of new certificate correctly (US export limitations for cypher certificates, if the XDA is not running US system).
Hope it helps

Thanks for information.  I did the factory reset to no avail.

How can I check bit strength?  Its is a UK XDA from 02.

There's many ways of checking the certificate info, I tend to use the browser and access OWA. Then click on the lock in the status bar (IE 6) or in the address bar (IE 7). It opens the info about security certificate. Compare it to the old one to find out any difference.

Hi

I have had a similar problem with my XDA as far as sync'ing goes - does the device sync locally?

Also can you browse on the XDA to the full path of your hosted exchange server e.g. mail.website.com/exchange ?
