Hi All,

I have a program that lets users create a banner (for digital printing), this is done in flash as3.0, they can:
- Add text
- Change background colour
- Add their own picture (Only high quality jpg)

After that I save the instructions in an xml (x coordinates, size of text, location of their uploaded images)

After they complete the checkout and pay for the banner, I then re-create that in swf and export as an .eps from flash to illustrator.

I would like to cut out that process and create a flash application that will load the banner they purchased, and create an .eps from it, then I can send it to the sign company I work in partnership with.

I tried looking everywhere for a solution, but could only find exporting as jpg, which is not good enough and becomes massive.

Any ideas how I can achieve that?

Regards,

The short answer is that this is not easily possible. The flash creation suites I am aware of do not have this feature.

There are rumors of techniques involving Adobe's PostScript drivers, which would entail installing the correct drivers for your printer and then printing the SWF directly to postscript. I have no idea whether this would produce an acceptable quality graphic.

Please post if you find a solution. This is an frequently encountered problem for many graphic designers.
