Hanging application WINWORD.EXE, version 11.0.5604.0, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.

There was an entry in the registry which pointed the default opening directory to a share name that had been changed.  When the entry was updated, it resolved the issue.
