I am trying to export a user mailbox to a PST file but I am running in to an error:

I am running this as "Administrator" and I have granted full access to the mailbox as outlined in:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb266964(EXCHG.80).aspx

When I run the 'export-mailbox' command I am getting an error:

[PS] J:\>export-mailbox -Identity username -PSTFolderPath j:\username.pst
WARNING: An unexpected error has occurred and debug information is being
generated: Could not load file or assembly 'Interop.Migbase, Version=8.0.0.0,
Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies.
The system cannot find the file specified.

An error has occurred that was not properly handled. Additional information is
shown below. The Windows PowerShell process will exit.
Export-Mailbox : Could not load file or assembly 'Interop.Migbase, Version=8.0.0.0,
Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies.
The system cannot find the file specified.

I had initially thought that it wasnt' finding the command so I just ran export-mailbox  and got the following:
[PS] C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.domain>export-mailbox

cmdlet export-mailbox at command pipeline position 1
Supply values for the following parameters:
Identity: mwaddell
If you are not exporting to a target mailbox folder or a .pst file, you must sp
ecify either parameter -DeleteContent or parameter -DeleteAssociatedMessages.
At line:1 char:1
+ e <<<< xport-mailbox

so it is finding the export-mailbox command so I don't know what the problem is.

I am runing 2007 sp1

[PS] C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.domain>get-exchangeserver

That, in my mind, indicates a bug. I would open a case with MS

I've had a similar problem (same error message) when moving mailboxes from one Ex2k7 server to another.

I got round it by performing the move from server hosting the databases where the maiboxes were stored rather than from the destintion server.

So I'd suggest you login to the console of the server which hosts the database from which you want to export the mailbox and try again.

Hope that helps.
