My CTX Monitor isnt displaying properly

I have two ctx monitors, same make model on a splitter into a Radeon X1300 Pro. I had to give one up a few days ago and now i have another one, same as the last, except it doesnt show the proper resolution properly, its like its magnified, you cant see all 1280x1024 at once, you have to move the mouse to the corners.
This problem sticks with the screen no matter which plug so its the screen, I tried to install the drivers but it just says no need to install them, so now i am updating the X1300 software. has anyone had a problem like this or heard of
similar issues? I would like to have both displays working properly someday :) any input is welcome.

Are your CTX's widescreen? Have you tried changing the refresh rate?

no they are regular 19 inchers, went from 60 to 75 with no effect. do you have any idea what causes the monitor to switch over to this zoomed view? is this a setting on the monitor itself?

Well i still dont know why it happens, but i updated the video card driver and it works fine now, though it doesnt work on some new dell laptops and a few other computers, very strange.
