How do you create a verification field with scrambled text?

We are trying to create a verification field with scrambled text to stop FORM bots.

yes there is and its called Captcha>>
http://www.captcha.biz/

It will mix up a load of random letter and the user will have to enter then in order viewed to get to the next page (ie login)
