recovering exchange 2003 database from the recovery storage group to information store

Recently had to recover the entire exchange database. now i am unable to move the mailboxes into the original mailboxes on the correct information store. I have given the appropriate permissions per microsoft. them i tried to move the mailbox from the recovery storage this is the error that i am receiving. Any help would be greatly appreciated as always.

You can't move the mailboxes from the recovery group to the original store.  You have to use exmerge to extract the data from the recovery storage mailbox(es) and that creates PST's for each mailbox.  Then you can either give the PST to the user, or import it back in.

If you are trying to reenable the mailbox in the original store, you may have to create the acocunt again, or reconnect the mailbox.

The purpose to the recovery store is so you can do an offline restore with a production server, without interferring with the production databases.  In the past you had to buy software that would do brick level saves or you would have to restore an entire database to an offline server, which meant more equipment and more money.

when i try using exmerge it is not seeing the mailboxes in the recovery storage group.
