How to compress company data file
Hello,
We have been using Quickbooks 2004 and recently buyed licenses for quickbooks 2008. However for some reason the existing company data file which we have been using since 1998 is not working with 2008 version of quickbooks..The quick books support said that the problem is file size which is almost 1GB (they believe that it shouldn't be more than 200MB) and suggested to archive and condense (Compress) the file..Which I tried it completes few steps before hanging at rebuilding data file phase..
I need some help to reduce the file size to 200 MB..We can delete the previous transactions and just keep the data from 2005 to till date.
Regards,
Neil
