ASA 5505 ipsec tunnels drop when no traffic can't reinitiate from Pix515

When connection initiated from ASA5505 to Pix 515 IP sec tunnel comes up no problem, but when their is no traffic tunnel drops and can't be reinitiated from Pix 515 only the ASA5505.

sounds like its a remote access VPN rather than a site to site VPN, can you post the configs?
