How to use EFI boot in Intel Desktop Boards

How to use EFI boot in Intel Desktop boards. I have a DG33FB motherboard. I want to boot to EFI shell and try the commands. If I enable it EFI boot in BIOS it does not make any changes in boot device priority. How do I go about this?
