Hot How to extract the files Without installing
I am setting up a lap top after reinstalling xp pro. Can't connect to the internet due to apparent lack of drivers. Therefore trying to download drivers on different computer without installing them, and then transfer to laptop by external hrad drive. My problem is I don't know how to extract the files I want to download (starting with network adapter drivers). If anyone can provide a rather basic step-by-step guide or solution I'd be extremely grateful. Thanks for your time.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me. The file is PRO2KXP_v13_1_2.exe.
I am a little confused here.
So, you have downloaded this executable and and you want to extract something from it?
Why dont you just copy it and run at the laptop?
Or didnt understand what you are trying to do

I husta downloaded that file. from

That "husta" in the above comment is supposed to say "just".
If you want to see what exists in the executable you can use
PE Explorer which as the author says is "Designed for inspection and editing of Windows executable files"

Got it! Thanks very much. To explain, my problem was that the original download didn't give me the option to save, it just installed automatically. But the link you sent me has solved this so thanks for your help, much appreciated.

in what form are the files you downloaded?
I mean is it .rar .zip or an installer package?
