iPhone stopped working after RPC setup

Title pretty much says all after i tried to setup a RPC so that i was able to connect my client computers with the exchange server 2003 extrenally.

I followed these instructions EXACTLY http://www.petri.co.il/configure_rpc_over_https_on_a_single_server.htm then BOOM iphones stopped syncing :( luckly i backed everything up before i attempted BUT how do i configure RPC without shutting down iphone sync. FYI i couldnt connect from outlook at a remote location. all of that work for NOTHING.

When you enable RPC.. do you recieve any error messages in the Event Viewer. Do you have any SSL enabled in your environment.

Actually not any relevant to the exchange server and i do have ssl enabled but i know the SSL if configured correctly because i wouldnt be able to connect my iPhone to the exchange server

i forgot to mention that the SSL is self-signed would that have any effect?

Guide worked and found out you cant use a self signed certificate :) outlook cant handle any certificate problems. Thanks
