Export & Import Activities (activitypointer entity)
Hi All,
RE: Dynamics 4.0
Im trying to export activities (the tasks, emails that are associated to from our old CRM to a new one.
I can create an export xls of the activities, however... on attemping to import using the import wizard, there is no "Activity" or "Acivitypointer" record type (recieving entity).
Is there a supported way to migrate the activities?
or do i have to manually add the records into sql?

i would love to!... however, it fails to authenticate because we have a dot in our domain name. Its a known issue apparently, it simply cannot handle dots in domain names.
Then
Have you tried Data import
Tools --> data import
or
I will suggest you to go through SDK way.
Direct sql can have issues,

Hi Rakesh,
The Tools > data import way doesnt have the Activity entity listed on the second page of the wizard. Almost suggesting that imports of activity are not supported.
Forgive my lack of knowledge, what is the SDK way? ...nb: i have the SDK document
