How do I get rid of funny new line characters in a DataGridView<br />

I have a DataGridView on my C#.net form that is pulling data from my Access database.<br />
I update the data in the Access database by entering several lines of text from a text box then saving it to my database.<br />

When I view the data in my DataGridView it displays the new lines with funny looking square characters.<br />
