Flash Projector: Can .exe files created with Flash use XML data?

I want to create a .exe file that can run on a CD.  However some of the data may need to be changed.  Could I store that data in an XML file and that way I would not have to recompile the swf as an exe, just change the text in the XML

sure can, just use the URLLoader class and specify a relative path. I distribute an alarm clock application I wrote that way.
