The server is 192.168.16.2 - it is the DNS And DHCP server, the router is 192.168.16.1 and isnt anything except the gateway for internet.

Any ideas how I can get the internet working again?

Thanks

Are you talking about users accessing the internet from your network, or users accessing sites on your server FROM the internet? Or something else?
Are you using ISA on your server?

Hi,

Sorry yes its users accessing the internet from my network, if they connect directly to the router (bypassing the server) its quick, but when they connect via the server its seriously slow.

Also, I dont think im using ISA, I dont remember selecting to install it...
So you are using SBS for a proxy?
Hey,

no sorry im having a funny 5 mins, I have exchange server installed, and use companyweb etc... so I am using ISA
Wicked,

So your clients on your network can access Yahoo.com quite speedily, but anything that is hosted on your SBS server (Exchange, Intranet, etc.) is not fast?

no its the otherway round, yahoo.com is really really slow. Everything else is fast.
How about by IP? 209.191.93.52 (for instance)
This is a ping:

Pinging 209.191.93.52 with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 209.191.93.52: bytes=32 time=148ms TTL=55
Reply from 209.191.93.52: bytes=32 time=144ms TTL=55
Reply from 209.191.93.52: bytes=32 time=143ms TTL=55
Reply from 209.191.93.52: bytes=32 time=139ms TTL=55

Ping statistics for 209.191.93.52:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 139ms, Maximum = 148ms, Average = 143ms

however going to http://209.191.93.52 and it takes over 50 seconds to display the page...
So it isn't DNS.

Has it ever been fast?
this is a new server, SBS2003 was re-installed yesterday, exactly the same as it was before, this is the 4th install I've done of server software (not the same server) but this is the first problem I've had browsing the net... when i run ICW I enter the DNS as the DNS provided by my ISP.... I tried entering it as the gateway IP but it wont use it....

is that right?
