hyperlink test in excel

Using excel 2007, is there a formula or way to test a GENERATED hyperlink in a cell in EXCEL?  One of my spreadsheets creates a list of hyperlinks and I was wondering if there was a way or forumla to test the hyperlink in each box to see if the file located at the http address pointed to from the cell really exists on the server or not.

Hey I think I found the solution:
The below is an example to do the loop:

Sub LoopCells()
For Each c In Worksheets("Sheet1").Range("a2:f2").Cells
c.Value = "KLP"
Next c
End Sub

The use the function described in this website:

That should work fine

Yes, the macro does work, but I cannot igure out how to modfiy it for my needs.  Instead of it popping up a MSG window when it find a bad hyperlink, I want it to CLEAR the cell with the bad hyperlink.  How would I change the macro to accomplish this?

Ok maybe we need to make a loop for every cell then call the function that will perform Cell.ClearnContent()

I will try also and get back to you

I am working on a different solution but will still try to integrate yours for future use.  Points awarded.
