Exchange server frozen early Sunday mornings, any ideas?

Sometimes, I can simply restart the Information Store and Exchange will be responsive to outlook and owa clients. (note that the services have status 'started' when viewed in Control Panel).

Sometimes, I have to power cycle the sytem -- it is a Pentium D 3.2GHz with 4G RAM, serving as Mailbox, Hub, and Client Access server.
Will it be running out of Physical memory? We only have 30 users with a storage .edb of 12G and a public folder .edb of 2G. Total memory usage is around 5G (1 G more than RAM).

The only thing running during early mornings (1am -5am) are: Windows Automatic Update (which I just disabled) and Ex ESE online defrag.

Any ideas is appreciated.

Are there any hints from the event logs around the time it freezes?
backup? online defrag having an issue with antivirus?
run the eseutil tools on your database.
Back up and AV scan are the only two things that come to my mind.  Also you could check your task scheduler to see if anything else is scheduled to run dring that time.
Did you see increase amount of Page file usage on the exchange server leading it to hang?. This was recently a frequent issue with some of the people.

Please read following for details & see if you are running into the same.

Thank you everyone for the input...
I followed sandeep_narkhede's blog link provided, and is checking the Ex Svr Update Recommendations. Immediately, I discovered the Paging file is not increased after we added more RAM. So I fixed that. I also applied the Kernel OS fixes (KB954337).
Will monitor for the next few weeks.
I'm attaching the current list of programs running on our Ex svr.  Another question I have is should I remove .NET 3.0?
Thanks!
