Database connection to SQL server 08 advice !!!!

Using VBA code and  ms access

Where are the drivers for SQL Server 2008 so i can setup an ODBC connection on the desktop

also if i was to configue a connection string in code and exectue sql directly what would be best.. can this be achievd in ADO any code examples.. have server ip, database name /uname/password

What you need first is the SQL 2008 Native Client: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=C6C3E9EF-BA29-4A43-8D69-A2BED18FE73C&displaylang=en it's halfway down the page

The description says "This redistributable installer for SQL Native Client installs the client components needed during run time to take advantage of new SQL Server 2008 features, and optionally installs the header files needed to develop an application that uses the SQL Native Client API.", so I guess examples are included
