remove the first DC

For learning I foolfed one link for setting up first Domain Controller and created a domain .
Now I want to remove this.
What are the steps to do.

It should be as simple as running "dcpromo" again to demote the DC, and select the option saying it is the last DC in the domain/forest.
Before you do that, please summarize what you did before. Was it just a simple DCPROMO and create a new forest?
