need to be reinstall the Fax printer on SBS WIN 2k3.

Having printer spooler alerts so tried to clear up the print spooler using the cleanspl.exe from the win 2k3 resource kit and instead, deleted all the printers managed by SBS 2k3.  Reinstalled all the missing printers but cannot get MS fax icon to appear, the fax services are working though because client is still receiving faxes, but the icon is unavailalbe for clients to choose to send faxes.  I do not wish to reinstall fax services because all the arhcived files will be going and I did try re-running the fax services in the server management console as well.

You can't add printer> SBSFax? Does printer appear on server but not workstations?
You can easily reinstall the Fax service from the SBS disks. Use add/remove programs>SBS

The printer does not appear on the server but on the workstations but not accessible from the clients w/s.  The printer acts as a ghost or former printer icon.  There is nothing in the adding printer for SBS fax.  unless I am looking in the wrong place.  I do not wish to reinstall the fax yet because I would like to keep the archived files.  Anything else I can do?  Have you used this resource before?

I use the resource all the time for most my clients.
I have never seen the archived faxes dissapear but just to be safe copy them to another folde or do an SBS Back Up.
If you can't rerun the fax wizard the simplest way is to reinstall fax service.
Before you do try the following (which is something you'll have to do after reinstalling fax service too)
Server Management>Client computers>Assign applications to client computers>Next>choose a workstation and click add>next> tick shared fax client>next>next>finish and restart that workstation. See if fax works again.
Also on the server check to see if the modem is actually working, even try to reinstall it.
