I want to use the .Net frameworks built in classes to encrypt and decrypt data.
We will have a console application that will be running on our server that will send out emails with links in them.  The link will contain an encrypted key which the site will decrypt and use.

So basically I just need some help understanding how to use .net to encrypt and decrypt a string.  Using symetric encryption will be fine as both ends of the communication are trusted sources... built by us.
