Hey

Im trying to build a Linux MCE system. I use the Distro downloaded off the MCE wbsite. The Os loads all fine but when it restarts. it loads kubuntu's splash screen then the monitor just goes black.

On troubleshooting we pinged the box and got a 5 by 5 response. leading me to suspect the graphics drivers.

Finally to the question. How would i be able to get the nvidia drivers for the box without using the screen.

Thanks

Try booting into recovery mode (you should have that as an option from the Grub boot menu). Then once that is up you'll probably get a selection of options, one of which is an X recovery option. At least standard Ubuntu has that option.
