Can W2K3 RIS and W2K8 WDS coexist on the same subnet?

We are currently using W2K3 RIS to deploy images in our production environment. We would like to start using WDS using a W2K8 server on the same network. The idea behind this is to be able to continue using RIS while we introduce WDS to support Vista deployments. The end goal will be to only use WDS via the W2K8 server to deploy both Vista and WinXP and decommission the W2K3 RIS server.  Is this feasible?

Hello swissalps,
I would not have thought so - how would your PXE cards know which server to got to

remove RIS and replace it with WDS its much simpler see my website here http://www.petenetlive.com/Tech/Windows/WDS/WDS.htm

Thanks for your response.  Does a tool exist to transfer existing RIS images from the W2K3 server to the new W2K8 WDS server?  You might respond by saying well just upgrade the W2K3 server to W2K8, etc., and your in business.  But, the W2K3 server's been problematic so we need to replace it with new hardware. And, of course, this process will include moving to W2K8 WDS.  Thus, the reason for submitting my question.
