Explorer keeps shutting down

I search a topic, locate a question and click on it to get an answer, my Internet explorer shuts down.. I originally set up at home using the operating system Vista... I have XP at work, does this make a difference and how can I correct it.. thank you

Hello armymom13,

What website are you clicking an answer, Expert Exchange?  Does IE shutdown at home or office computer? What version of IE are you using, IE6 or IE7?  Does the shutdown occur on other websites?

Clear your cookies files in your browser and restart IE.

If no joy, make sure you have Java and Javascript engine installed.

Thanks for responding so quickly... I am clicking on EE,  I have IE7 installed it is only happening at work, and it is only this site... I cleared the cookies and even had our desktop support look at it, tAND, it is only when I use the search engine... I am actually at work now, and sent you the question and received your answer... however, still can't use the search engine.. (the answer section) thanks

You need to be logged in to EE to see the answers.  If you just joined and paid EE, it may take a few hours for your account to get converted for you to see answers.

Did you make sure you have the latest Java and Javascripts Engines installed?

Thank You, I did just sign up, however, the problem is because of an ad-watch attached to my pc by my company.. I will have to ask them to remove it...

armymom13, glad you found the source of problem.  EE has lots of popup ads.  I do not see them in Expert mode. :)
