VLAN method Manual and NVRAM

Hi,

I have create d two vlan , but when i see sh ip int brief , it shows VLAN methos as manual for one vlan and NVRAM method for other VLAN..

And PC connected in VLAN undwe method menual cannot ping to any PC in VLAN

There's a difference between a "VLAN" and "VLAN interface". A 2960 can only have one "VLAN interface" operational at a time.

For the method to show "NVRAM", the switch would have to be booted with that VLAN interface configured in startup-config when the switch was booted. If it shows "manual" that means it was created, but it wasn't in the startup-config the last time the switch was powered on.

now issue is i have a layer 3 switch which in connted ted to layyer 2 switch , pc in layer 2 are connected in differenr vlan and they are able to each other its fine.

but now i ahve cascaded one more layer 2 switch with exixting layer 2 switch also created vlan and assigned port , from this cascaded switch i am able to ping layber 3 but pc connected on this cascaded switch is not able to poing layer 3 switch

                         direct conn to l3                            cascaded with l2

as per above dig  pc connected in layer 2 is not able to ping layer 3, but from switch i can ping layer 3 swith..

port are properly assign to vlan with appropriate gateway of that vlan

Please post the configs of the switches and indicate which switch (and port) the PC is connected to.
