My site will be a global site.

Does adsense display ads relevant to the location they are being viewed from?

If my page is likely to be viewed in, say Brazil, how does adsense know to display Brazilian ads?
Is it IP adress based, or must I have Brazil in the text of the page?
I will be music instrument and band based content. Will adsense display any music store ads in that area?
Must I have the text 'Brazil' in the HTML? or are there tags to signal to adsense my keywords?

The country choice is either installed when you run the google pack, or I believe it can also be embedded in the code for the google adsense link -- i.e. as part of the link.  See here for details and caveats on this --
http://www.google.com/search?num=30&q=google+adsense+link+country+outside+US

Also be aware that google is a US centric company when it comes to advertising, so the adsense program may be very limited in Brazil, or even non-existent, depending on if any advertisers in Brazil use adsense.

Thx
Do you have an idea of Andsense presense outside US ?
What do other countries use, then?

I am tempted to think, with it being Google, that it is used all over the world. ?

If you are an Indian blogger trying to promote Google Adsense and hope to make some extra money via referrals, its sad news that Adsense is stopping Adsense referrals outside of North America, Latin America, and Japan!

The alternative is Yahoos publisher program, which still seems to be in beta. Or maybe Ill look at one of those other affiliate networks.
