I recently had to reformat my hard drive and now after installing win xp the screen has poor resolution, i have been told its the drivers for the video card that i need to reinstall but not sure how to find out type or model of this, i have looked inside the pc but to be honest i would not know what one looks like unless it had a label on it! if more info is needed to offer a solution please let me know, thanks.

Ok. That is your NIC's chip. What kind of motherboard do you have? What is the model number of the board? Might be Gigabit?

Thanks so much, that solved it! your a star!
Really glad I could help! :)
You'll have to open the PC again. Check near to the Video output socket on your motherboard for a black chip. It should have a name or model number on.
Let me know what this name or number is.
Cheers.
