How do I disassociate Quicktime MIME settings for TIFF files from IE, programmatically or by command line?

I have few thousand users who need IE to open TIFF files in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. Unfortunately this is defaulting to Quicktime at present. If I uncheck TIFF as a MIME type in the Quicktime control panel applet then run the reg file mentioned at
http://www.experts-exchange.com/Software/Internet_Email/Web_Browsers/Internet_Explorer/Q_23245385.html?eeSearch=true
then all works as I want it too. However I can't go round a few thousand machines doing this so is there some sort of command line / script / reg entry I can run that will remove the Quicktime MIME association?

Thanks

This only tests and re-associates the filetypes. What I need is to remove the Quicktime MIME type.

Windows only replaces. You want to set the association 'assoc .tif MSPaper.Document' and the ftype 'ftype MSPaper.Document="C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\MODI\11.0\
MSPVIEW.EXE" "%1"    ' so that the default opener for tif is Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. Unfortunately, Windows Picture and Fax Viewer is not on all Windows machines.

You can also use the 'Open With' choice of the right click menu to set the default program to open tif and tiff files, but it's by no means automatic.

Thanks, there were a few things which I needed here though this helped. I also needed to clear the IE cache for some reason as the association still remained with Quicktime until I did this. For this reason I am happy to award half the points.
