I'm trying to archive a sub folder within Outlook 2003 and it doesn't seem to work. As shown in the attachment everything should be correct as far as settings though. After hitting OK it will create an archive folder, create the same Alan folder, but without any e-mails within. However, the e-mails are still in the original PST that I'm trying to archive them out of. It also has the latest service pack, SP3

Outlook archives by a field called Modified, and not the actual Received Date typically shown in the pane.

Customize your current view and add the Modified field and see what the date reads.

Even though I see you are doing this archive from today going back.

Also, set that folders' archive time and then initiate the "Archive all folders according to their Archive settings" and see if that moves them.

Also make sure the mailbox is not full as that can hinder archiving.  You'd have to manually archive items to get archiving to work again.

You can also try a scanpst.exe on the archive pst file to make sure it is not damaged.
