Emails will not forward to a distribution group when sent from an external address.

We have an email address set up for clients to email questions to.  There is a distribution group set up to forward emails that come to this email box to 5 other users, however when emails are sent from an external emall address they will not forward to the other email addresses.  When we remove forward to the distribution group and just use an individual email address it works fine.  Anyone have any ideas / input on this?

Under properties for your distribution group. Mail flow settings>mesage delivery restrictions>properties uncheck require that all senders are authenticated.
