Need to alter a column in ACCESS 2003 in code to Double with two decimals

I have a talbe that is created in code.  It is double to hold percent.  But it stands at Auto for decimals - how to I tell it I want double with only two decimals points?

ALTER TABLE BudgetSales ALTER COLUMN Comp Double ????

This is reall urgent as I am in a crunch to get this out tonight!

Thank you, but not really.  The query that creates the table is written in VBA, not a query in the query grid so I need to make the alteration in VBA.

The decimal set to 2 doesn't actually change the value of the column, it only changes whats displayed.

Sorry I took so long to get back.  Someone in the other building had a "problem" that needed to be addressed.  In otherwords - upper management wanted babysitting.

thebrednetwork, I checked the link out and that is exactly what I was looking for.  I created a procedure to call this and when it returns to the next command, the table is how I want it.  Thank you.
