Difficulties condfiguring Serv-U and Voyager

I only need to operate an FTP file server now and again. I used Serv-U, the free edition, a couple of years ago and it worked fine. Today, I had a need to set up a new FTP file server and I purchased Serv-U 7.3.0.2 together with Voyager because the vendor (Rhinosoft) website said users (i.e. my clients) would get a prompt to download Voyager as a small Java program and this would make it much easier for them to use my server.

I have tried testing the installation from other computers in my network.

Problems:

(1) When I tried connecting with Internet Explorer, it worked fine except that I didn't get the prompt to idownload Voyager (which was the whole reason I went for the paid version).

(2) When I tried connecting with Mozilla Firefox from my own network, I got as far as the log -n dialog box but, after entering the user ID and password, Firefix timed out.

Any ideas on how to solve either of these two problems?

BTW, the nifty tree diagram from previous versions of Serv-u appears to have been done away with. I spent a long time looking for it but it doesn't seem to be there. The tree diagram used ito make it really easy to set up the program. Without there seems no fast way to navigate through the zillions of hypelinks in the manager screen.

as you paid for the product, why no ask Rhinosoft for assistance?

I found the solution to the first problem eventually on the rhinosoft website - the user has to connect using HTTP (not FTP) to be offered the Voyager download.

Still no idea why Firefox doesn't work with Serv-U but not important to me.
