If this computer is a domain controller for the specified domain, it sets up the secure session to the primary domain controller emulator in the specified domain. Otherwise, this computer sets up the secure session to any domain controller in the specified domain.

Based on the error, you are trying to use the name that already existed in your domain on different network. You can try to ping or nslookup the name to see if it is used.

Questions:

What are you attempting to do? Did you try to join/install/access/browse... or else?
If you try to access from a stand alone computer/server, did you try to use IP address instead of DNS name?
