IIS Site replication for clustered/NLB web servers

We have an ecommerce IIS/ASP based application on our web server that we'd like to load balance with NLB.  The server hosts about 10 sites and they all live in sub directories of Inetpub.  We'd like to add a secondary server for roll over in case of high utilization and or hardware failure.  The data on the main webserver is updated often and patches are deployed regularly to the ecommerce application on the server.

How can we setup replication of the server image/etc or at least IIS and the websites to the secondary server so we don't have to do double work?

Share the IIS-data folders on each webserver.
Use DFS-replication by adding the shared folders on each IIS as targets of the same DFS-link
