Workflow email format errors - Where do I find the template to edit to correct the issue?

I am experiencing formatting errors in the emails being sent by the out of the box workflows.  I can see where the errors begin pretty much, but I can't find the templates so I can correct the problem.

As you can see in the attached code, the HTML formatting is not getting translated.  I think the problem begin at the subject line, as the header info is good up to that point.  I'd like to fix this issue, but first I need to find where the email template is located.  Any help would be much appreciated.

Just a note,  The question was "Where do I find the template to edit to correct the issue?"
The link I gave not only points out the location of AlertTemplate.xml, but also supplies instructions on which sections of the xml to update and the stsadm command to apply the updates.
