I am looking for advice on how to be notified when someone logs in  or unlocks our servers for any reason.  I want to be notified via text message and email.

Hi,

I would use a logon script to send mail with an smtp client to your mail server. Here how to do it with blat.exe

To send to text message, you can subscribe to online service as www.lesms.com They allow sending sms by sending text to an email address. In that case you must add extra info in your cmd file like recipient phone number etc... In that case you can TYPE and redirect to blat inside of using echo

blat.exe can be found here and is free: http://www.blat.net/

@echo off
if %COMPUTERNAME% == SERVERTOWATCH (
echo %USERNAME% logged in %COMPUTERNAME% at %DATE% %TIME% | blat -s "login notificaton from %COMPUTERNAME%" -to " recipient1@yourdomain.com,recipient2@yourdomain.com -i sender@anyaddress.com -server yourmailserver
)
