I keep getting the below message when I do a backup on a server.  A user has a PST file on this server and has email opened.  We have Open File Agent loaded and the system backs up other Opened files but this one always gets this message.  If he closes outlook it backs up fine.  We are using ArcServe 12.

AW0002 2008-10-16 10:25:39 Failed to read data from file: D:\Data\archive.pst RC=183, Cannot create a file when that file already exists.

Few things to try:

In the BAOF console: Reduced the Write Inactivity Period to 1 sec (from 5)

Then disable the Advanced Extended Features.

Recycle the BAOF service.

I just tried setting the time to 1 sec and disabling the Advanced Extended Features but I still got the error.  I did go through the session and determin that it looks like it is on the tape but I am still getting the errors.

Check the OFA log perhaps that will provide some clues into this.

All I get in the log of the OFA is this:

2008/10/17 11:17:31 Operation disabled.
2008/10/17 11:17:32 Operation enabled.

I get a set of these everytime I run the backup.

Not sure and not sure when I'm going to have more time to research this.
