Can UNIX servers with o/s 10 work with MS SQL Server 2005 servers?

Expert: I am looking at installing a Cold fusion 8.0 web application on a Unix server with o/s 10 and Sun web server 7 with a back end MS SQL Serve2005  database server?  However some one mentioned that I would not be able to use  MS SQL Server 2005   as the back end database server since UNIX servers only work with Oracle database.  Is this true?  We would perfer to use MS SQL Server 2005  in lieu of Oracle database?

Please kindly advise...thanks

Expert MohammedU: thanks for the subject link . For my 3 tier cold fusion web application on unix . Which of the drivers in the list at http://www.sommarskog.se/mssqlperl/unix.html would you suggest I use to connect my solaris 10 o/s to the back end MS SQL Serve2005  database server. I what to make sure I use the right one before I close out of this one. again, thanks
