hello,
we have a rightfax server 9.0 with SP2 . when i csan a page from an ecopy machine and try to fax it then i get the notification via email
" Your fax has not been sent. The gateway was unable to validate the e-mail address of the message sender. The message has been discarded. "

Any ideas ? It was working just fine , just started happening suddenly and not for all users.

so which windows upgrade caused this?  The incremental upgrades on the server, or only the clients that have received the latest M$ upgrades, which typically break this kind of network functionality?  If you have a stable network setting, especially for disributed faxing, then TURN OFF ALL WINDOWS UPDATES on all machines -- automatic updates cause exactly this kind of problem.

" The gateway was unable to validate the e-mail address of the message sender. "

Clearly a problem with MS Exchange or whatever is validating your email accounts -- update is prime culprit.  It could be the fax driver, but the message clearly indicates that a server is blocking all email traffic.
