I have an  IIS 6.0 web servers  running Coldfusion MX 7.  We recently had a problem where Coldfusion stopped working on the server.  I restared the Coldfusion services and IIS services and was able to run our Coldfusion applications but I can no longer get into the Coldfusion Administrator.  When I browse to http://localhost/cfide/administrator/ or http://127.0.0.1/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm I get an error that the Page Cannot Be Displayed.

Coldfusion is running because the apps work but I'm not sure why the Coldfusion Administrator has suddenly stopped working.  Does anyone have any advice on how to troubleshoot and resolve this issue?

Hi,

The first thing I checked was that IIS still had the CFIDE directory mapping installed correctly.  It is configured correctly and the log files seem to be okay.  Anything else I can try?

I've done that already twice. Nothing seems to help.  Is there anything in the configuration files that I can check?

go  into the Advanced tab and added 127.0.0.1 as an additional IP using port 80, and that should solve the problem

In IIS I already have 127.0.0.1 as an additional IP using port 80.  I am able to browse to all pages on the site with http://localhost/ or http://127.0.0.1/.  The only time I get the error is when I try to access the CF administrator page.  It was working fine for weeks until the problem the other day when the Coldfuison apps stopped responding.  Something seems to have changed to cause the CF administrator to not be accessible.  Any other suggestions?

I ended up resolving this by deleting the CFIDE virtual directory and recreating it.  I also copied the neo-runtime.xml file from working server to this server and then restarted Coldfusion.
