Lexmark t642 PCL printer problem

Have Lexmark T642 printer.  Our outside vendor, required this printer to print images and documents.  The install instructions required using the Lexmark_AAT_WIN2K_PCL_XL_Emul_sys_en.exe setup file.  The workstations can print some documents ok but others print lots of garabage pages.  It prints lots of pages with random letters and symbols when clicking a print button - just a print command behind it.  There is one workstation that can print everything ok with no junk/garbage printing.  Vendor is indicating it is a profile issue while others are saying its a Lexmark driver problem.  Users are using roaming profiles.
Any suggestions?

You would have to compare the system that functions to the one that does not first. If they are similar, (OS, make/model) then you very well could have a corrupted profile of types. What I mean by that is that this users profile could be pulling old drivers from the Registry. A good way to test this would be to log on as a different user and try to print. If for some reason both profiles fail you  might try the suggestion listed here. As always, be careful in the Registry.

I tried these suggestions but it still does not work yet.  I found out that the application is written in Sybase.  I did contact Lexmark today.  Downloaded another driver and installed it.  Still doesn't work.

I switched to the universal print driver and it works just fine.  It was difficult to find the universal driver.  Lexmark site was not user friendly.
